Hi Experts,

Our customer is a wholesales group with multiple companies. They have a central warehouse, which manage the stock for these companies or say manage the stock on behalf of these companies'stock. They want to run single warehouse for the stock own by these companies. It means that multiple companies, plants and storage Loc. are assigned to a single warehouse number in EWM. Could SAP EWM handle these scenarios?

Hi,

yes, no problem. You should only be aware that "one warehouse" should also mean "one location". Means you should not try to have one warehouse for buildings which are not at the same location / site. If you do that, you are asking for trouble. If central means it is all one central place, that is fine.

"One warehouse" means they have a big warehouse building with multiple location inside.

One more question. May be I did elaborate the scenario detail enough.

The requirement is the they want one warehouse number for the warehouse operations. The warehouse stuffs don't care the ownership (company) of the product. But, in the system, the customer want to keep in bin level, in where the ownershop of the product. In picking, packing, good issue and so on, if the out bound delivery is fro "A" company, the system should know which's product belong to company "A" and process it in the right way.

They don't want to set multiple locations in the warehouse to handle it for reason better utilization of space.

Can it be handle in EWM? Thanks for your advice.

Hi,

if the system would not be able to handle this, then I would not answered your question positively. Because of course the system must keep the individual stock separately. This is done with the quant.
