Error in Send mail from xMII

Hi ,

I am trying to send email from xMII to my yahoo acount.I am using our company's local SMTP server. I am able to send mails internally. But, if I try to send mail to other mail accounts, I am getting the following error

If you are inside the SAP firewall, there is another SMTP server that you should be using, not a local SMTP relay. Please contact IT to get the address (I believe it is mail.sap-ag.de, but not 100% certain).

Thank you for your reply. The problem has got solved.

Another doubt I have, can I send mail using any server other than SAP's mail server?

Yes, you can send from any SMTP server. However, the ability to do so depends on:

1) Your IT policy (firewalls, etc.)

2) Your e-mail provider/ISP's policies (usually, the "from" e-mail address must be the same as the domain on the SMTP server to prevent spammers

This may occur if you try to send mail to an invalid mail address.Can you check out the email address once again.is it the correct one....?
