Hi all,
We have configured marketing attributes in SAP CRM and updated business partners with the attributes value.However , when we check the yMKTG guides , there is no structure in Hybris Marketing which supports marketing attributes.
We want to use Marketing attributes for Customer Segmentation on Hybris Marketing ADT module.
Request your help on same and also if there is any way other than customisation to achieve it.

Hi Pratyasha,
As you know, Marketing attributes in SAP CRM are configurable so they are customer specific in nature. Hence, there is no out of the box structure in yMKT yet. However, they can be brought to "Segmenation" by following below steps (similar to any addtional data source you want to bring in)
1. Bring the "marketing attributes" data into a HANA table first. You can do it manually or use SLT to do this. Let us assume that HANA table will contain "customer ID, attr1, attri2...etc"
2. Build a HANA view (attribute view will be sufficient to start with on top of this HANA table.
3. You have to add the HANA view to existing segmetation profile in the customization (SPRO)
3.1. Define aliases for SAP HANA data sources
3.2. Assign SAP HANA Data Sources to Segmentation Object
Make sure you bring "customer ID" otherwise you cannot join your HANA view to the exiting Segmetnation Object.

However , I have a query regarding step 1, how to bring CRM attributes to HANA table.DO I need to create a custom table and link it to Contacts root table?
And how will the mapping work between CRM marketing attributes table and yMKTG custom hana table?
Please help.

Hi Pratyasha,
how to bring CRM attributes:
If you are in a co-deployment scenario(CRM and yMKT running on same HANA DB), then you dont need to bring anything. You simply create HANA view on top of CRM marketing attribute tables and consume it in segmentation. During the segmentation configuration you need to specify the key attribute that is the key reason you need to bring cust ID.
If you are NOT in co-deployment, you SLT CRM marketing attribute tables which contain the marketing attributes and build the HANA view, map it to segmentation.

Any luck? we are also on same issue. How did u setup LT with CRM source? Do we need to create table first in ymkt DB then copy?
