GRFN_OWP_JOB_SENDER program terminated with runtime error: ASSERTION_FAILED

Hi Every One,

In the OWP process once the plan is created, in the TCE (control effectiveness testing) assessment processing phase by the system, The program: GRFN_OWP_SUB_JOB_SENDER of GRFN_OWP_JOB_SENDER program is getting terminated with runtime error: ASSERTION_FAILED.

ST22 system dump analysis is pointing to ABAP Program: CL_GRFN_API_IDENT=============CP in "GET_ENTITY_ID"

Seems there are no sap notes in PC10 component related to this program/issue.

As this issue is happening for one TCE only but not for all TCEs, this couldn't be program issue. Can any one suggest what could be the reason for the issue and any best practices for fixing this?

Currently our system are on GRC 10 SP13 level.

The most likely cause of your problem is that the target user likely does not have an email address maintained.

Hi Venkata,

Please check below causes

• ADS is not properly configured (Return code is fehler SOAP Framework: SOAP runtime Exception)
• SMTP server is not properly configured
• Inbound rules are not correctly configured or maintained
• Correct job is not scheduled
• Risk Management is not active in the system
• No e-mail maintained in SU01 for the recipients

Hello Venkata,

This issue will occurs if any inconsistency in master data

re check validity dates and time frame

Also check case management

SPRO->Governance, Risk and Compliance->Process Control->Cases->Check Customizing for Case Management.

Some times issue may be because of authorization also(In your case i don't think)
