SAP doesn’t converting the batch number to WIP

Hi Guys,

I am facing this problem since very long.

The ZLM05 “fails” right at the confirmation and no labels are printed.

However, the Material and Quantity is moved into 032 WIP but SAP doesn’t convert the batch number to “WIP” and the materials retain their original batch number (see screen below for an example).

These will be cleaned up manually tonight to convert the Batch Number to WIP.

Regards,

Rohit

ZLM05 is not a standard transaction of SAP, it is probably a modified LM05

Nobody in SCN (except your developers are by any chance here) can know what was modified and why.

So you better ask inhouse than here.

Also changing a batch number in a WM process only does not sound to be consistent, usually WM just follows what was posted prior in MM

Hi Jurgen,

LM05 and ZLM05 both are used for TO confirmation,

problem is happening after confirming the TO and batches are not converting to WIP from original batches.

If you have any clue where i can go check the configuration part.

Thanks

what is the business logic behind "batches are not converting to WIP from original batches". why do you want to convert to WIP

if there is no change for TO confirmation then why do you need ZLM05 instead of LM05. Please refer your project documentation or in-house development team(as suggested by Jurgen). With the no or limited knowledge about your custom designed process I am afraid nobody can help on SCN
