Hello Suresh,

Cross check whether following file systems are mounted(NFS-shared)

/sapmnt/<SID>/global and /profile. Also /usr/sap/trans/

Check whether the profile directory exists with correct permissions.

user would <sid>adm

and user group would be sapsys. permission are 755.

Please check - https://websmp102.sap-ag.de/~form/handler?_APP=00200682500000002672&_EVENT=DISPLAY&_SCENARIO=0110003...

Also, check service.sap.com/pam for cross checking compatibility.

Hi,

For a distributed installation, uid, and gid for the users like sapadm, sidadm should be same in all the servers

Also make sure your have given the correct profile path during installation.

Hi ,

We have mounted sapmnt file system.

Could you share permissions on sapmnt directory ? It should have correct access with permissions .

Hi Suresh,

Problem is with your sapmnt file system, it seems that you have not assigned proper permissions to the directory or not mounted it properly.

Because you have to set up one file system for the SAP system mount directory /<sapmnt> and one file system for the /usr/sap directory.

For UNIX you can follow the below link to understand SAP system directories. In windows also it is similar.

SAP System Directories on UNIX - General Administration Tasks - SAP Library

There are few things that you should take care of.

1st UID and GID must be taken in account.

2ns /PROC file system should be mounted for AIX.

Please have a look at the installation guide to cross check if you have missed anything.

Apart from that, can you please share the complete logs and screenshot ?

Hi Suresh,

Check if the permissions for the file systems /sapmnt/SID and profile directory permit you. You can try to check with commands like touch to check if you are able read, write and change the files.

Thanks,

2. Could you share the installation error log?

Hi Suresh,

apart from what divyanshu mentioned do check the /sapmnt/<SID> is shared across both the server so that you can mentioned the profile directory in your installation screens.

Ram
