HI,

what are validations in SAP XI?

In the case of File->XI->R/3 (including BPM: Collecting IDOCs and sending), What are the validations need to perform?

Hi Krishna,

Validation means evaluationg something based on a criteria. In XI whereever we do the processing based on any criteria will come under validation. Either to check that mapping is correct or not, or to check the structure of data type is right or not.

.......validations may also include checking ValueMapping errors also

There are no fixed set of validations.

It all depends on the exact functional requirements. Most of validations revolve in XI around,

1. Validation of madatory fields.

2. Cross Referncing of data.

3. Validation for data in some fields , etc
