Hi Indranil,

You can removed old logs/trace from the directory /saptrace /sapcheck etc.

also do verify if your archive_Dest be it oraarch or saparch is a seperate mount point as when the DB becomes productive it generates a lot of logs and which can make the space full and keep the size of it 25% more than thesize of  log generated for 3  days.

As for now you can temporarily move some of this archive logs to a different folder and get the free space. and then run a backup for the archive logs with save_delete & then delete option.

also do move the latest logs as if your using RMAN or other utilize it might error finding old logs missing.

Let us know if this helped you.

Hello Indranil,

Below are few steps which you could find helpful.

Check your oraarch directory, if you have many files you can move few of them to other location.

you can switch off archiving.

increase the space in /oracle mount drive

check in other folders if any old archive logs where moved.

you could clear core files from /oracle/SID/saptrace but not background and user trace directories.

Hope these help.

regards,

Bala
