Error #2032 Can't preview my dashboard

Former Member

I am creating a sample dashboard for SAP Business One in SAP Crystal Dashboard Design 4.1 using this document(Creating new Dashboard Packages for SAP Business One 8.8) which gives detailed explanation step by step.

Following is the link to the document: http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/6091ffdd-e1ad-2d10-359f-d644ff7ea...

I followed all the steps perfectly as said but when I preview my dashboard it gives me the following error

Cannot Access External Data

An error occurred.

For more information, contact the file creator or your system administrator.

Error: Error #2032

Connection Type: Excel XML Maps

The document also warns about the possibility of this error and gives the following solutions:

- Make sure SAP Business One Integration Service is running in windows service.
- Make sure SAP Crystal Dashboard Design 2008 Fix Pack 3.1 or higher and Adobe Flash Player 9.0 or higher installed
- Make sure MIME Type is selected as text/xml in XML Data Definition

I have checked all three solutions, still its not working.

Kindly help.

Parth

Hi Parth,

Have you checkd this?.

Error #2032 Connection type: XML Data

  • Root cause 1: Incorrect setting in Server Manager
  • Solution 1: Start "Server Manager"-> Under the "security
information section, click on the Configure IE ESC" link and Turn off for
    Administrators.

  • Root cause 2: Improper IE setting
  • Solution 2: In toolbar of the Microsoft Windows Internet
Explorer, choose Tools -> Internet Options. In the
Settings section of the Advanced tab, navigate to the
Security list, and deselect the checkbox Do not save encrypted
    pages to disk
    .

Thanks ,

Urmil.

Hi Parth,

Just try this option also.

When you run dashboard then it asks for Username and password.

Username: en-US/<username>/<database name>.

Password: <password which is used to access the database>.

I think you are considering these credentials as username and password instead of database access

username and password.

Thanks,

Urmil

Hi Urmil,

Thanks for the help.

I resolved the problem.

The problem was because of cross domain database access.

I resolved it by placing an crossdomain.xml file in the root directory of the database server.

Thanks once again.

Kind Regards,

Parth
