Hi All,
We are Implementing Extended Classic with Multiple Backend
Master Data Will be maintain only in one of the Backend and replicate to SRM
The Material and Product Category with same Number exist in other Backend system as well
Let say Backend 1 is having all Master Data and replicated to SRM
Create SC to Backend 2
Is this is Possible ?
Have anyone come across?
Appreciatie if anyone suggest
Regards
Trinath
Hi Trinath,
If the data is only available in one backend how is this data to be validated against a backend system where it does not exist?
You should receive an error like BBP_PD 339 or similar.

Hi Trinath
From what I understand you are saying that there is overlap of MAterial and product category in both
the backend systems ..?
So when you replicate to SRM system there will be also be duplicate entries is what I understand ..
Now when you choose a product it is also created based on the backend system ..
COMM_PRODUCT Will give you the list of products based on each backend which got replicated in SRM . if you choose a product which is now to create a PO in backend 2 this backend 2 should also have that product .. so that it can create a PO ..
You may also want to look at the config options as below :
1) Define the scenario/follow-on document creation for the product categories
-> Supplier Relationship Management -> SRM Server -> Technical Basic Settings -> Define Backend System for Product Category
2) Define the scenario/follow-on document creation for the product categories
3 )-> Supplier Relationship Management -> SRM Server -> Cross-Application Basic Settings -> Define Objects in Backend System (Purch. Reqs, Reservations, Purch. Orders)
Please explain a bit more .. if I did not understand the question properly .
Regards
Vinita
