SAP Lumira Server for BI Platform 1.27 Windows (64B)

Hi,

today I saw this product is available for download.

I know Lumira Desktop 1.27 should be releases one of  these hours.

But I cannot find in the Collateral-documents I found on 1.27, what the purpose is for this "LS4BIP 1.27" :

• Is this one absolutely needed when you want to publish .lums-files, created by Lumira Desktop 1.27, to the BI-Platform
• or does it contain only new functionalities and bug-fixes ? And can you still use LS4BIP 1.25 while using Lumira Desktop 1.25 ?

I cannot find any document on this. Probably I'm overlooking it.

Please help.

Hi

No, you do not need the LS4BIP 'add-on' to save .lums files to BIPlatform. The Lumira Desktop alone can do that alone, with BIPlatform 4.1 SP3 and above.

However, If you want to visualise .lums files in the BILaunchpad, and edit/compose stories online (in the web browser)   then Yes  you will need parity of versions between Lumira desktop and Lumira Server for BIplatform (LS4BIP add-on)
