SNP Planning Book Macro

Hi,

I have created a planning book copying from a standard SNP Planning book.

When I am trying to activate the macros by going into "Macro Workbench" - select planning book - click "generate" - system is giving msg "Macros were not generated, macro book was not saved".

Why this msg. is coming, Can anybody help me...

cant see any reason why...

but can you try this

double click on the planning book and get to the macro builder

move all macros from the depot to the section "macros in macro book"

then click on the generate button (the main one) on top(not the generate on top of the section)

if this does not work try generating the macros individually.

If you have changed the KF its possble some macros are not getting active.

Another possibility is the date ranges for the area's. It could be that there is a macro that has a keyfigure area or auxiliary area as an input parameter, but the dates are incorrect because there are different number/types of buckets in the dataview when compared to the standard. You can expand all the macro's and check that the dates are setup correctly.

Hai Kumar,

Macros are based on the key figures in the data view. did you copy the macros that are in the macros to the new planning book and data view? Check then key figures and the sequence in both the original planning book and new planning book, data view you are trying to activate the macros. May be some of them re missing. There is also a check button in macro builder to check before activating. Please let me know if you have more questions. Let us know if there are any additional messages or details.
