Can we have 1 livecache pointed to multiple instance like Dev & QA APO box ? has anybody done this ?

Hi folks,

Usage of one livecache for different instances Dev ,Qa ,Prod is not suggested or advisable because as vinoth mentioned the same material or product is available in three different systems say with the difference when it has to plan accordingly it is difficult.

But if you have more than one OLTP Systems say ECC1  and ECC2 they can have a common livecache . As system uses BSG . there will be no problem in that case.

Hi,

It functional point of view its not recommended to have 1 livecache for multiple environment, which will lead to huge data discrepancies and incorrect planning and system outages. There is no way that livecache has the ability to differentiate the same data (eg Product) comes from different environment (Dev & QA)

Technically it seems not possible in my view, i would suggest you to post this question in appropiate BASIS Thread.

This Architecture will leads you to continuous head aches.
