SAP PCO and non SAP WM systems

Hi Gurus!

Do you know if SAP PCO only works with SAP EWM?

I know it's a part of Plant Connectivity System,  but do you know if it can be connected to another Warehouse system different from SAP?

This is not only for SAP EWM.

With SAP Plant Connectivity (PCo), SAP provides a software component that enables the exchange of data between an SAP system and the industry-specific standard data sources of different manufacturers, for example, process control systems, plant Historian systems, and SPC systems.

With PCo, you can receive tags and events from the connected source systems in production either automatically or upon request and forward them to the connected SAP systems.

PCo agents support the following standardized software interfaces:

• OPC Data Access
• OPC Historical Data Access
• OPC Alarms & Events
• OPC Unified Architecture
• OLE DB
• Open Database Connectivity (ODBC)
• GE Fanuc Proficy Historian
• OSIsoft PI
• Socket
• IP21
• Citect
• File Monitor Agent

SAP PCo we use with SAP EWM for sending the telegram to conveyor system. This is just a RFC adapter between SAP EWM and PLCs. SAP PCo just set the data to another rail and it doesn't even convert the data.

Please find cookbooks for making connection and there limitations. This will resolve your issue.
