Define Workstation application - customizing replication

Hi gurus,

A simple question; is it possible to perform massive uploads of entries in SPRO's "Define Workstation application"?

My requirement is as follows: I have to REPLICATE settings under that customizing path with respect to a "model" system... in more than 10 backends.

As far as I've seen, the only way is to create entries one by one, then get values from the "model" system and replicate by hand.

Kinda time-consuming activity, also because the model system is configured to cope with more that 30 different Application IDs.

Is there a way to speed-up this process?

Hi Matteo,

all WsApps are defined in following tables:

A) WsApplication itself

TDWP

B) Data carrierer and network

TDWX

C) Templates

TCZ02 and  TCZ02T

D) Office integration

DMS_OI

So you can write a little ABAP downloader to a textfile and an uploader.

Keep in mind, that there are some other SPRO parts, which can use WsApps entries, too.

E.g. document conversion or document distribution. this must be synced, too ....

One idea: post this question to the colleagues of the system basic administration.

Perhaps there is a cust. copy tool existing for adjusting multiple instances.

This is not a DMS specific topic ....

One second idea: perhaps you can record to mark all customizing entries and give it to a transport

and run this recording by batch input or eCATT.. The run an import eCATT on the target systems.
