Composite role menu does not sync with menu of single roles

Hello,

We have added a single role to a composite role. We need to update the menu of composite role also. We have tried doing it with "Import Menu --> Reimport", this resulted updating the menu to the current but with role description/Name of the top of each menu.

Ex: Initially we have the following data:

      Single roleA --> has menu --> Menu1

      Single roleB --> has menu --> Menu2

Single roleA and Single roleB are the descriptions of the single roles RoleA and RoleB.

      Composite role --> has menu -->  Menu1

                                                       Menu2

     We have added a transaction to the role Single roleA. So the menu of the single role is changed to Menu1

                                                                                                                                                     Menu1a

     We expected the menu of composite to be Menu1

                                                                    Menu1a

                                                                    Menu2

but after reimport, menu of the composite role has been changed as follows,

                                                                  Single roleA 

                                                                    Menu1

                                                                    Menu1a

                                                                 Single roleB

                                                                    Menu2

I do not want role descriptions in role menu of the composite role. Could you please help me to remove role descriptions from menu.

Hello Prasad,

please read SAP note 498074 -->last sentence

to avoid the seperate folder for each single role.

one additional hint:

If you do not want to modify the composite role menu, simply do not merge the single role menus, but leave it empty. Users get then the single role menus.

Advantage: every change of a single role menu is valid immediately and you do not need to update the composite role menu.
