KI 235 error while doing PGI after upgrade from 4.6 c to ECC 6.0

Hello All,

Need your help and advice..

We have currently upgraded the existing system from 4.6 C to ECC 6.0 system. And while doing PGI we are getting the error message no:- KI 235 - Cost element requires an assignment to CO object". AS per SAP we need to maintain OKB9 settings as for higher version than 4.6 C, CO object is necessary to be maintained to avoid the KI 235 error.

But instead of maintaining OKB9, we have changed the profit center field to optional in movement type configuration. In OMJJ in the tab Field selection (201) we select movement type 601 and then change the PRCTR field from suppress to optional and now PGI is working.

Kindly let me know whether it will have other impact or else we need to follow OKB9 only.

Hi Manish

Can you pls:

1.Check  and Maintain the  Profit Center in  your Material Master for FG in related Tabs.

2.Always Profit Center Postings need to be Automatic and NOT TO POST MANUAL, to avoid this manual posting, we need to Maintain  OKB9 settings with Profit center  for related Cost Element.

Pls maintain the OKB9  correctly(profit center) your error will be resolved.

If error still not solved, pls  provide with error, with related areas screen shots to guide quickly.
