MRP not considering PDT while proposing PR in MD04

Hi SAP Gurus,

MRP is not considering or taking Planned delivery time while proposing Purchase requisition for Independent requirements. The PR's release date, planned date and delivery date are all same. We have maintained PDT as 14 days in Material Master (it is external procurement).

In Purchase info record also for the vendor , PDT is maintained as 14 Days.

In OMDT also for Plant / MRP group , it is defined.

I have attached screen shot of MD04, MM03, Info record and OMDT settings.

Please give your valuable inputs on why MRP is not taking PDT while proposing Purchase requisition's ?

Thanks In advance. Pl provide your valuable inputs, it is urgent.

Best Regards,

R.Velmurugan.

Hi,

If you want to use the planned delivery time from the purchasing info record, you must maintain a source list entry for the material in addition to the purchasing info record, and enter the same vendor in the source list as in the purchasing info record.

Hi Ganapathy,

Thanks for your valuable inputs.

PDT is maintained for this material/Plant/Vendor in Purchasing info record. Pl refer attached screenshot earlier.

Also in ME03(source list), I could see for this Material/Plant, there is vendor(same) and agreement.

Pl refer attached screen shot.

However I could see in Scheduling agreement the PDT is entered as Zero. Whether this could be causing this problem. I have attached Screen shot of the same. If I maintain PDT in Scheduling agreement whether MRP will pick PDT for PR proposal ?

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,

Hi Velmurugan,

PDT maintaned at scheduling agreement has higher priority then info record. In your case, system is considering PDT from sch agreement.

Hello,

Please check the source of supply is assigned to you PR and as a result of the planned delivery time in the INFO RECORD or contract or scheduling agreement depend on it.

There must always be a valid source list entry with the indicator 'Source list usage in materials planning and control' 1 or 2.

For more details please refer 550014 - FAQ: Source determination in material requirements planning

Can you Pl share the link / any doc which tells about the priority order of considering PDT for a Purchase requisition during MRP Planning (i.e, Scheduling agreement / Pur Info record / Material Master etc).

Thanks in advance.

Hi Velmuruhan,

Make sure that you have set MRP relevancy indicator in source list for material plant vendor combination.

System picks info record in MRP only if its is marked as "1" in source list under "MRP use in planning" field.

Hello,

Please check info-record is assign to your purchase requisition. Check the source list setting.

Or else remove the OMDT setting for purchase info record and rerun the MRP with planning mode 3 Delete and Recreate and check the results.
