Instance Profiles

Hi all

I have just installed Solution Manager and do initial configuration. I get some errors and, I think the reason is that instance profile isn't initiated.

When I check start profile I get "E: Instance profile missing"

I get that some parameter in instance profile is configured wrong, but when I check it in RZ10 it have true value.

When I check that parameter in RZ11, the parameter isn't configured.

And I get "In start profile START, instance profile INSTANCE is not specified" message in transaction RZ04.

How can I specify the instance profile?

Goto RZ10 and utilities --> import profiles of active server.

Then select the current profile and version. Look for values that you have set and share those with us.

I don't know how but new instance and start profiles are created, and changes in this profiles are really take effect.

And can somebody advice me the value of abap/shared_objects_size_MB. I change it to 40, as written in documentation, but system preparation write that parameter is incorrect.

abap/shared_objects_size_MB, it's vale can be set between 150 to 200

Regarding the "Instance profile missing" issue, you can also refer to SAP Note below:

123202 - "E:Instance profile is missing"

Hi,

Run the  report RS_TT_CLEANUP_SECSTORE and then import  profiles again by rz10>> Import profiles of active server.
