Hi Expertise,

Please suggest me for:

I have activated DMR Level in SPRO for Lot level.

Now,as per my below requirements i need to define stages in QDR1. So,please suggest me with a screen shot how should i define it?

Requirement is:

Case 1.  I have 3 lots if all are accepted then next coming lot should be skip.

Case 2.  If 1st lot is rejected then sequence should be 2nd,3rd and 4th.

If 2nd lot is rejected then sequence should be 3rd,4th and 5th.

if 3rd is rejected then sequence should be 4th,5th and 6th.

After doing this,i will assign this DMR rule in inspection plan and define level also.

Waiting for your valuable reply.

Thanks & Regards,

Vivek

Hi Vivek,

QDR1 is the transaction where you define the rule, that is a proposed way through which you need at the stage you start your inspection. After acceptance of lot how much skipping or lot you want and if rejection is found then system proposes the stage for inspection again and inspection lot will be created.

Kind regards,

Hi Vivek,

Let me try providing here some high level inputs -

This is an example form DMR at MIC level.

The current Q-Level (Tx QDL2), is shown below:

Now for example 1st character is what we are checking. It has stage "1" as Q-Level.

Now when we check DMR settings, and this stage "1", it will have 3 inspections as OK, then it will go to next stage "2". If there is 1 failure in these 3 testing, then it will go to Q-level "3".

A) Now first we check stage "2" settings here -

It is selected as "SKIP" stage, for 5 inspection testing. If there is no rejection, then it will repeat stage "2" again. In case if there is "1" rejection, it will change the Q-level to stage "3".

B) Now we check stage "3" setting here -

It's not a skip stage as 006 (tightened inspection) is checked. For next 5 inspection, if there is no issues, then it will jump back to stage "2" or Q-Level "2". If there is "1" inspection rejected, then it will go back to stage "3" or repeat Q-level 3.

So basically, you have to look at DMR (QDR2) settings along with Q-Level setup (QDL2) to understand what it is suppose to do next time.

Hi Arijit Sir,

Thanks for your correct ans.i have got the solution and understood the DMR stages.

But with the skip status of an inspection lot i am getting stock in QI while it should be in unrestricted. In material Master - Skip allowed and Auto UD both are activated. So,please suggest me what other settings are required for this?

I checked this thread there i found that in Skip status stock is showing in unrestricted but in my case showing in QI.

Waiting for your valuable reply.

Best regards,

Vivek

Hi Vivek,

Sorry for my late answer. Though I have limited experience here, but I think there are three things needed here -

A) Setup required in Material Master - Please can you activate the below two checks in Material Master => QM View => Inspection type =>

   a) Skips Allowed = X

   b) Automatic UD = X (For Non-Stock relevant inspection types 03, this indicator will not be  available)

   c) "post to insp. stock" = "X" (for stock relevant inspection types, in order to go through QI route)

B) Configuration Setup ===> Quality Management => Quality Inspection => Inspection Lot Completion => Plan Automatic Usage Decision => PLANT => InsLot completion => Automatic Usage decision =>

   a) Delay time for skip lot = 0 or any other value based on business decision

   b) Waiting time (Hrs) = 0 or any other value based on business decision

   c) Waiting time (Mins) = 0 or any other value based on business decision

NOTE: I believe the logic here before auto UD is a ≥ (b+c) and then the effective time is considered for UD.

C) Batch Job settings -

QA10 - Plan for a Auto UD batch job using QA10 for skip lots.

Once these three things are done, I think auto UD job will push the stock form QI to UU.

For better answer on this topic, please can you create a new thread to continue the discussion there with a larger audience, who have better experience on this matter. Paralelly, there are some knowledge threads you can explore in SCN.

Thanks,

Arijit
