Hi Praveen,

usually I would say SM01.

Hmmm... let's have a check.

Go to transaction SE16 and open table PROGDIR. In the "NAME field" search for "SAPMTSTC". This is the report behind transaction SM01.

If you open it please tell me if the field EDTX contains a 'X'. I assume that this is the reason why the transaction is locked.

Maybe you can give it a try and remove the 'X' from EDTX field to unlock it.

Does this resolve your issue?

Cheers,
Andreas

Hi Andreas,

Thanks for ur quick reply.

I looked in se16. In EDTX field, "X" is there. Should i remove it?

Hey Praveen,

I have heard that this method is no longer valid.

Let's try another option:
Would you please go to SE16, open table TSTC and give me the output for transaction SM01? Especially the value of CINFO is needed.

Hi Praveen,

TSTC is the table which you need to look and set the RAW value of CINFO as 0.

So, goto SE16n and use &SAP_edit of /h to edit the value..

Login again and it should work.

HAHAHA ... &SAP_EDIT has been disabled due to security stuff and a workaround is provided which the same effect ... great!

Anyway... try the option by Bhargav and set the value to '0'.

Hi Gaurav,

also not helpful as this functionality is no longer enabled for customers.

I assume we have to use table TSTC for unlocking SM01. I already requested the content for SM01.

Cheers,
Andreas

Yes Andreas,This KBA will not be helpful here,so i posted another message & recommended a SCN thread.

You suggestion to use table TSTC seems fine here.

Good luck !!

Hi Praveen,

Have you checked SAP KBA  1606387 - Transaction XXXX is locked (in transaction SM01)

Hi Gaurav,

usually a good KBA, but not working here, as SM01 is locked and therefore not usable.

Cheers,
Andreas
