Automatic PO check before releasing Shipment

Dear Gurus,

       When there's a high potential to win the bid, Until the signed Customer Po is received we move ahead to procure the parts, but hold up the shipment of those by system automation until the Customer PO is received.

  Could any body suggest solution for above Requirement.

Hi Murali,

You can do this in couple of ways:

• One is put delivery block indicator on header/item level.
• Not sure, are you using credit management? If yes you can define credit limit as Zero or very less amount. This will pt delivery block automatically. When once bid is signed you can put actual credit limit for customer and release the order.

With my limited understanding I think you are talking about blocking the delivery of goods for temporary basis and you can do this by assigning Delivery block at header or item level in sale order. Check this and update.
