Preliminary Import Approval - how to stop it changing status if error

Hi

We are using Preliminary Import functionality for ZMMJ in Solution Manager 7.1 SP12.

I have setup config so when Preliminary Import is approved, it will release the transports.

However, sometimes we are getting this error:

"Request XXXXXXX cannot be released due to open conflicts".

The error is actually expected because we are using CSOL and there is open conflicts so that is fine. The issue is the status still updates to "Preliminary Import Approved" even though the release failed. Then we are stuck as there is no way to release the transports via ChaRM.

To get around this, I have tried setting up some config to say if this error appears, the status doesn't update. It would stay on "Preliminary Import Requested" instead of changing to approved. But I'm struggling to get this to work.

Really hoping someone can suggest what I should do to get this working.

Thanks!

Shaun

Any solutions to this one?

Same thing also happens when marking Testing as Passed (which releases original transport) so it's not just a preliminary import issue.

Thanks

Hi,

Assing the status at cancelation in consistency checks, via SPRO-> Change request management-> Make settings for change transaction types.

Thnks

Hi Rishav

Yes, I have many cancellation checks setup here but it's not as simple as just setting up a cancellation check.

I only want the cancellation to occur if the above error appears.

I can't see a way to do this (I've checked thoroughly and can't find that error anywhere).

Hi,

I am very well aware of the complexity for setting up the cancellation check.

You need to check TR_COPY,TR_REQUEST,TR_REQ_OPEN for your request as consistency checks.

Thanks

Hi Rishav

I fail to see how any of those consistency checks would fix the issue in my first post?

TR_COPY and TR_REQUEST is for all transport requests are released.

TR_REQ_OPEN is that at least one transport is open

None of these are relevant to object conflicts in CSOL??
