Hi All expert..

when i m trying import request in quality i got below error..

Could not start transport control program tp

Message no. TP608 Diagnosis

There was an attempt to start the transport control program tp using the local RFC interface. An error occurred here.

  Error code: 3
RFC error text: Error when opening an RFC connection (FUNCTION: 'R

Meaning of the error codes:
  03  RFC system failure
  04  RFC communication failure

System Response

The function terminates. Details about the error can be found in the trace file of the Gateway Monitor (SMGW).

Procedure

Contact your system administrator or use report RSTPTEST to localize the error. You can then execute the command again.

As per some suggestion on SCN Thread

I am done below things..

  • -> Run RSTPTEST report (in SE38) & check
  • -> Check the transport tool:
Go to transaction STMS, Import Overview button, select the system, Import Queue menu -> Check -> Transport Tool
  • Background job RDDIMPDP:
  • The background job RDDIMPDP is used for the communication between the transport tools (TP and R3trans) and must be scheduled in all the clients (included client 000) by userDDIC. In order to schedule job RDDIMPDP properly in all the clients you should do the following:
  • Logon into client 000 with user DDIC;
  • Go to transaction SE38 and run report RDDNEWPP:
  •          check in STMS -- systems overview -- SAP system --Check -- Transport directory
  •          check in STMS--systems overview--- sap system --- check --TP

everything is ok but i couldn't understand below log file with error

check the log file in SMGW => Goto => Trace => Gateways => Display file

Hello Ashish,

usually the RFC connection are getting generated by STMS and having the name TMSADM@[SID].[DOMAIN NAME].

Start STMS and click on the icon for system overview.

Before you do that, check if there is a warning, when you start STMS concerning consistency.

If there is, someone might change a system, but did not transfer it through the transport domain.

The RFC connection are usually getting updated, if there is a change in the transport domain and updated.

To have a consistent transport domain check for your effected system in the system overview the settings and adjust if needed.

Just double click on the system and edit (if needed) the setting. There are check icons. The important tab is "communication". This generates/updates the RFC connection documents.

Make sure the DNS (in case of also Oracle TNSNAMES) are working on OS level and check in the configuration is working.

After that, transfer all the configuration changes through your transport domain.

As soon as you change a system and safe it, the STMS want to transfer all the changes through the transport domain.

Best regards

These destinations are not related to the issue.

What happens if you test the destination "CALLTP_WindowsNT"?

This is the destination that will be used when importing requests, if SAP is running on Windows (as it seems it is).

If SAP is running on a different operating system, there will be a destination for it ("CALLTP_<your OS>").

Hi Ashish,

Were you able to import transports earlier?  Was the kernel/tp updated recently, or were any related parameter changed?
Has there been any change in permissions for the trans directory? What is the OS and is the trans directory available on the QA server?

Try checking the tp tool in STMS and ensure all 3 tests are successful.

Varun

Hi,

Can you check CALLTP_<XXXXX> RFC in SM59 ?

Also, try by setting gw/acl=0 parameter from rz11, to test if it works.

Share the results for the same.

What happens if you perform a "connection test" at the SM59 destination "CALLTP_WindowsNT"?

Share the output here...

Hi,

Error code 10054 relates with network issue at your, are you able to locate the system on network with successful name resolutions with ping command .For more try to disable UAC or any other firewall in between the systems.

NiHLGetHostName: to get 169.254.113.234 failed in 9026ms (tl=2000ms; UC)

  3 : [169.254.113.234] 169.254.113.234 (NILIST)

In addition could you verify the IP 169.254.113.234,Is this IP bind with local IP at your end ? If yes than try to communicate this as well & re-share the results for same.

Good luck !!

Hello Ashish,

there seems to be a network failure.

WSAECONNRESET: Connection reset by peer) [nixxi.cp

*** ERROR => NiIRead: SiRecv failed for hdl 161/sock 48

    (SI_ECONN_BROKEN/10054; I4; ST; P=192.168.1.28:35542; L=192.168.1.28:3303) [nixxi.cpp    5082]

Recall transaction /nSTMS and run transport tool check, for the queue where you want to import to.

Import Queue menu -> Check -> Transport Tool

If that works, rerun the transports by reimporting it.
