Scrapping of traded products (Depot )

Hi ,

How to scrap traded products (Depot products).

1) First we are using Tcode - MB1A ( Movement type  551) and scrapping the products to reduce the inventory.

2) Now we want to cancel the excise entries (i.e RG23D entries) what is the process ??

Just I wanna ask you someting before giving you some reply ,

In the 2) point you want to cancel the entries in register rd23d so tell me product coming from any plant to you depot ?

In the 1) point you consumed material by mb1a so it is ok.

Hi Arnab,

1) The material is lying in depot, we have inwarded the material directly into Depot.

2)  As the material has been expired we want to scrap the material. So we have scrapped it using movement type - 541 (Tcode - MB1A) now we want to reverse the RG23D entries also. How to do this?

HI Rajesh,

For cancelling the RG23D follow the steps

1.Execute J1IJ

2.Go to the menu and press the cancel option

3.You will be asked for the delivery no. so give the delivery doc no when the materials are delivered at ur depot.

4.Give the delivery no.

5.Enter and save

6.The RG23D will get reversed

If you find anything goes wrong then please let me know again.

541 is for issue to subcontracting stock and not for scrapping. 551 is for scrapping..

Here we don't have a delivery number, we only have a material document number which got generated by doing movement type - 551.

Hi Rajesh,

As per Excise rules is it allowed to scrap at depot. As per my understanding you should bring it back to the manufacturing plant to do the scrapping.

Use J1IJ Material docuement selection option and input your 551 Material document number and proceed.
