Hi,
I understand that the U-Rule is used when the source of supply to meet the demand is not required to be modelled explicitly. I have an end node in my network for procurement of components from a supplier. Where is the field and in which MD that is used to place this "U" value?
I am assuming that this works for Unconstrained Planning and not just Optimizer.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Michael
Hello,
Just to complete, optimizer requires 'U' rule to defined at the boundary of supply chain otherwise no external receipts will be created and no demand will be fulfilled.

As far as I know Optimizer doesn't consider quotas as such. It looks at entire supply chain to find the best soln.

Hi Michael,
The U-Rule is maintained in SOURCEPRODUCTION table. The 'U' is maintained in SOURCETYPE column for the component at the location
Thanks
