Hi,
I have done the config based on resource tracking PDF but yet when I select the resource tracking scenario there is no output obtained in EM web UI.Appreciate your response here
Hi Dipak,
When you say output what doesn't mean... you are getting drop down box of Resource Tracking Scenario in SAP EM UI or you can't see any configured field???
Check below things:
If you are using standard config:
1. Check Resource Tracking present in IMG -> Event Management -> Event Messages, Status Queries, and Web Interface -> Web Interface -> Define Web Interface Transactions
2. Go to IMG -> Event Management -> Event Messages, Status Queries, and Web Interface -> Define User Profile
a) Check User Profile - Resource Tracking assigned
b) Check Selection Profile - Configured Fields assigned
c) Check Display Profile - Event Handler Details and Event Display Details are configured and assigned correctly.
d) Check Event Message profile - Configured and assigned correctly.
If above are correct, then go to IMG -> Event Management -> Event Messages, Status Queries, and Web Interface -> Assign User Profiles and Web Interface Transactions to Users -> Execute -> Give your username -> Check and assign Web Interface Interface transaction (which you have done in '1') and check and assign User profile which you configured in '2'.
Check and let me know.

Hi,
By output I mean when I select resource tracking scenario and provide a resource ID and then execute there is error message stating-No suitable entries were found; redefine your search criteria
I have checked the needful and providing response below:
1. Check Resource Tracking present in IMG -> Event Management -> Event Messages, Status Queries, and Web Interface -> Web Interface -> Define Web Interface Transactions
Response-RES30_RESOURCE is maintained.
2. Go to IMG -> Event Management -> Event Messages, Status Queries, and Web Interface -> Define User Profile -
a) Check User Profile - Resource Tracking assigned
Response-RES30_RESOURCE is maintained
b) Check Selection Profile - Configured Fields assigned
Response-All configured fields for RES30_RESOURCE is maintained
c) Check Display Profile - Event Handler Details and Event Display Details are configured and assigned correctly.
Response-All fields are provided correctly.
d) Check Event Message profile - Configured and assigned correctly.
Response-Event message profile set up correctly under RES30_RESOURCE
Further the resource used here has Event Management marked as relevant

Hi Dipak,

Have you done above?

Hi Dipak,
I do not have access to EM9.X but if webui config is available and EHs for Resources are being generated, then following items comes to mind:
1) EH Type ( is it custom?)
2) Resource id on selection screen
3) Resource is active or not.
You mentioned error "No suitable entries were found; redefine your search criteria". You will see this error when there is no EH found for your selection. Put a breakpoint on /SAPTRX/BAPI_EH_GET_GUID_GEN and check it out. You will know what's missing.
As Deb Mohanty requested, screen shots will help.
Thanks,
Vishnu
Hi Dipak,
"No suitable entries were found; redefine your search criteria"
I got what you are saying now.
Go to SAP EM WebUI, give the resource id using asterix symbol before and after like *1234567*, *123456asd* (you have to give your resource id) in resource id selection profile and search.
If this problem is resolved your issue then the resource id in configured selection profile has check box enabled to truncate leading zeros.
Or give me resource id number format and screen shot of configured selection profile.
Check and let me know.

Dipak,
This is very confusing. You please have to answer some of our questions to help us to help you.
The screenshot you have attached is not clear at all. You marked the question already "Answered" !!.
Please answer Vishnu Cheeti's question whether the event handler is a custom one ?
Please check the following:
Please check the screenshot below and provide your screenshot in a similar way.
Hi Deb,
You are right. If the Def Value value and Event handler type already provided then it doesn't require in resource tracking id.
Hi Dipak,
Can you the share screen shot of your event handler type *EH_TYPE and *EH_ACTIVE selection screens?
If still it is not working then you have to put the breakpoint where Vishnu told and execute.

Hi Dipak,
you also need to check the multiresource falg on the resource on the general tab.
did you check eh_list also for inactive EH?
the process starts with the change notification agent in TM --> transaction /n/SCMB/CNACUST
check that the application TM_EM_RES for Object RES_H is active and the other checkboxes are checked as well.
Marco
maybe you forgot to activate something in the application interface. please check as well /n/saptrx/asc0ao
- Business Process Type Mode = active
- AO Type - em relevance set
when changing an EH please check then also afterwards the log --> /n/saptrx/asaplog to see if the communication to EM has be initiated.
Hi Deepak,
As I mentioned before Multi-Resource flag should be unchecked on Resource and MoT. Remove the flag ( uncheck ) from multi-resource. You mentioned that you removed it from MoT but remove it from Resource as well. After removing flag, make a change on your Resource or create a new test Resource. It should start working.
Thanks,
Vishnu
- you can set a breakpoint in method /SCMTMS/CL_CNA_RES_H->/SCMB/IF_CNA_APP_OBERVER~SET_CHANGED_DATA
but you must activate update debugging first.
- check is the method update_em_from_resource is called
- check the funciton call /SAPTRX/BAPI_EH_POST --> debug the synchronous path so you also get into EM
- check bapi return
I have debugged the below situation, but neither the Update method "/SCMTMS/CL_CNA_RES_H->/SCMB/IF_CNA_APP_OBERVER~SET_CHANGED_DATA" nor the BAPI "/SAPTRX/BAPI_EH_POST" is triggering .
What I tried:
1. Run EM search portal using logon of user ID.
2. Set breakpoint on click of "Search" button (APPLYBUTTON of MAINVIEW of component /SAPTRX/FPM_SELOPT_CPT)
3. Set Update debugging or TRFC debugging on when user clicks on Search and debugger started. (even I tried to on update debugging from the DOINIT of this view, i.e. before clicking the search button)
But it seems no breakpoint is triggering on the above mentioned method and BAPI.
hi dipak you already marked this discussion as "answered"...
anyway...if you do it the right way you should always get into the debugger. do the following:
- set breakpoint in class /SCMTMS/CL_CNA_RES_H method SCMB/IF_CNA_APP_OBSERVER~SET_CHANGED_DATA
- run TA /scmtms/res01 and change one of your resources
- /h and enter key
- depugger will start --> settings and system debugging on
- F8 and you should stop at your breakpoint in SET_CHANGED_DATA
hi dipak,
can you please be a bit more precise? which guide? what is not working exactly? you also have to go through the setup decribed in the TM-EM Integration guide.
you check that there are already RES30_RESOURCE event handler in your system?

Dipak,
Please check your selection profile. The configured field for event handler type in the selection profile are generally hidden. Make sure the event handler type is configured as required.
Please share the screenshot of the selection profile in case you need more detailed help.
Thanks.
Deb
