BPM Notification Activity - No Email Principal

In my BPM scenario, I have included a Notification Activity for email.  However, I receive the following error message when attempting to send an email:

"Notification could not be sent to the following recipients: DFERENZ (No e-mail set for principal)"

I have configured the SMTP Java parameters in PI but still am not able to send an email.

Any suggestions?

Found the issue.  I mistakenly forgot to include my e-mail address under the "General Information" tab of the ume User.
