Coding Mask enhancement

Hello X'perts,

Our user wants to have the existing coding mask enhanced from xx/xxxx/xxxxx.xx to xx/xxxx/xxxxx.xx.xx.

Is it possible to enhance the same while it is being used??

You need to be real careful when transporting coding masks

Errors with the coding mask will not show during a transport

There are a few notes that will help (read 520944 first)

Hi Mazal,

only in that case you can enhance your existing project coding mask when any project is not created within those project coding mask. if created you system won't be allow.

Hi Mazal,

When you do a change in coding mask, make sure you have below points in mind. These are possible and this will not affect existing projects

• You can change a numeric section to an alpahmumeric section of the same length.
• You can extend the coding mask with an alphanumeric section

Hi Mazal,

if you have existing projects/WBS using old masking than it may impact you existing projects like these project will not able to access.

if you do not have existing project/wbs than you can change as required.
