We have IDoc to FTP scenario..

FTP also uses FCC

client is unhappy with FCC as they feel safety concerns

They are asking about SOAP, SFTP or any secure protocol

Can SOAP be used at reeiver side? SOAP supports only xml, so how can FCC be incorported?

is it possible to use xmltofile bean at adapter module?

SFTP also don't support FCC. Is it possible the above bean?

Which is best solution?

Hi,

You can use SFTP for secure connectivity. In SFTP you dont have standard FCC option, but you can very well use the Std SAP Message Transform bean to do XML to File conversion in SFTP

Hi Midhun,

Yes, but you can send a file as attachment as well.

From my point of view the easy scenario with all the securuty is to use SFTP + Message Transform Bean to do the FCC staff.

Regards.

I am on PI 711 SP 03

SFTP is supported only from PI 711 SP 08.

Should I go for patch update? The system is aleady used for more than hundred interfaces that are live

You can upgrade but it's not just about upgrading PI system here.

Even the partners/systems that you are integrating should have the SFTP server installed.

I think it is not required. Upgrade the patch to SP 08, then download SFTP PGP add on is all that you require i guess

may be I need to check with the receiver whether they can accept sftp

sender, which is idoc sent from sap system is irrelevant here, i guess
