Unable to select client number in Logical Component

Good day experts,

I am VERY new to SAP and SOLMAN in general and this might be a trivial question but I cannot figure it out by myself.

I am trying to add a new managed system to a fully working sap system. Everything is going well except that I cannot assign a logical component (actually create a new one to assign) because I need to select a Client Number but there is none in the list to select from.

If I go to solman_setup -> Managed Systems Configuration -> Select the new system and select min. configuration -> Step 2 Assign Product -> Assign Logical Component I get this:

Is there something I am missing? Is there something I need to do to get a list of client numbers in the drop-down?

Hi,

Before you configure managed system configuration. Make sure your system and client details in the technical system in LMDB.

Execute Tcode LMDB and finish the technical system creation there, then come back to managed system configuration and assign the system there.

Even you can create logical component as well in LMDB.
