Can we create RFC connection within SAP database

Hi All,

We have one scenario:

A BW System running on Oracle DB, this oracle DB is getting filled by some ETL tool from a cloud based system.

So is it possible to make a rfc connection of within a SAP BW system? if yes then how can we create a datasource for this database?

Hi Manna,

I  think there would be myself as a source system(that is your BW system), but if you would like to have the Oracle DB as source system, please try to use DB connect source system.

Hi Manna,

its like any other source system, when you double click on it, you get list of datasources which are available , I think your requirement is  to read tables directly from Database.. in this case please try out DB connect option.

I know about DB connect. My situation is i have to read the tables of inline database of SAP BW. I am unsure here if this is possible.
