Wrong message number in OSS note

Hi,

I was searching OSS note for message number ME392. I've found only this OSS note 338206 - MIRO: Message M8075 when posting parked documents.

But, when I check this OSS note, I've observed that the message number has been written wrong. The message number of this OSS note should be M8392 (as per the message text) not ME392.

Please fix this for future readers.

P.S.: I don't know it is the correct forum or not for this query. If not, then please move this discussion to correct forum, so that I can continue some more issue (same kind of) with more discussion.

Thanks.

Hi,

many thanks for contacting me!

I wrote the KBA author and his community master. I get back to you if he contacts me or corrected the KBA.

A small update: the KBA tool has been enhanced in the way that now a warning is showing up if someone tries to save a KBA with internal link references. Hopfeully this way in future we'll have less problems.

Cheers,

Ervin

Here in section 'See Also', it is referring an OSS note as 1803189. But the link of this OSS note is showing different https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/2139101

Hi Dibyendu,

thanks for reporting this, I'll contact the author now to correct the link.

In future feel free to use mention feature and refer my name so I can take a look at it.

As of now we can use this very thread to report similar cases (we have also a similar thread in a private forum that is meant for moderators, and the approach seems to work very well. Let me cross-link that thread here, even if not everyone can open it, it'll be useful for me when dealing with such cases ).

Cheers,

Ervin

Yes. Thanks. Look into the OSS note referred to my initial discussion. It is still showing ME392.

Hi,

I did not look into that one, since Nadine wrote she'll contact the author, but then let me check that too.

Update: I just wrote now to the author.

Cheers,

Hi,

just to say I did contact the author but never got a reply 😞

Maybe Ervin has more luck than I had.

Thanks a million!
