Hi Rohan,

In order to ChaRM to work it is required to create a domain link between the transport routes for the managed systems and Solution Manager, that is, Solution Manager must know and be able to control the routes of all systems being managed by ChaRM.

When you do that, in STMS on Solution Manager you'll be able to see your Solution Manager system(s) and the managed systems and here your problem starts....

Within STMS you cannot have two systems with the same SID. This is a limitation of the STMS itself and not Solution Manager's.

STMS creates RFCs among all systems that belong to the transport domain and they have a fixed naming (TMSADM@<sid>, TMSSUP@<sid>, etc), that is, <SID> must be unique as you cannot create two RFCs on SM59 with the same name.

Now, I believe that you have two options:

1 - use different names for your upgraded landscape

2 - use a different Solution Manager to manage this upgraded landscape

Hi Experts,

We have two transport paths involved with same SID systems involved i.e. ASA->ASB->ASP is the path we want to maintain.

but there are two systems with SID as ASA and with SID as ASB.

Systems is not allowing to use same SID in two tranport paths , although actual server on which two ASA SID systems connected are different

What's the workaround for this ? How can we maintain two transport paths with same SID systems invovled (although systems are different) ?

Thanks,

Hello,

I believe, you can use Two seperate Transport Domains in that case, in which case, the system should allow you to use same SIDs.

Hi,

Basically you need to perform the settings in LMDB for that, make sure that all rfc and transports routes are working fine. You can use the virtual system also based on your upgrade strategy.

Thanks

Hello,

You have mentioned the Landscape system SIDs as "ASA, ASB and ASP" . So, can you please clarify on what do you refer as same SIDs here ?
