SAP IDM: Initial load error

Former Member

Hi Experts,

I am trying to connect SAP IDM 7.2 system with SAP ECC backend system. When I try to run the initial load job, the system was throwing the below error.

Any idea how to resolve this error.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Nageswara,

try a telnet connection to the message server. Maybe a firewall forbids the message server port (e.g. 3600) from your idm host.

Finally I got below error after I did so many changes and trails.

Please let me know your thoughts to resolve this issue.

Thank you,

Hi,

Try mentioning ASHOST, applicaiton host constant with the domain name and system number. I think this would work.

HI Nageswara,

Did you test the connection as mentioned by Andreas?

Seems like connection to message server port 3300 is refused. I have the same details (MSHOST, R3NAME and CLIENT) for my ABAP systems and it works.

Kind regards,

Jai

Hi Nageswara,

I connected a ECC system today to our IDM and faced exactly same issue. Check the below error message I got, it is almost the same error.

When checked, hosts file in etc folder had en entry for the server I wanted to connect with 127.0.0.1 IP address

I replaced 127.0.0.1 with correct IP address of our ECC server and then connection was established.

Please check your hosts file and update the details as required.

Kind regards,

Jai

Hi Nageswara,

Strange. I always get some more information along with that error.

Did you maintain relevant details in service/hosts files in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc?

And do you know if the backend system has SNC enabled?

Kind regards,

Jai

jai,

I have already maintained the relevant info in etc file. pinging from IDM also good.

SNC was not enabled in the ECC system.

Do we need to maintain any RFC destination in AS Java?

Thanks

Hi Nageswara,

Not that I know..

What type of repository you are adding? Dual stack? Connection to specific or load balanced?

Can you post the screenshot of your repository constants?

Kind regards,

Jai

Hi Jai,

The repository type was business suite as abap (load balanced connection).

Thanks
