WAD reports in 7.4 vs 7.0

We are upgrading from 7.0 to 7.4 and are heavily reliant on WAD reports published to a browser via the portal. Is the end user experience very similar between the 2 releases? Is the look and feel and functionality pretty status quo.   We are not using the design studio or BO applications. Are there any demo examples available in the 7.4.   We are in the planning phase and want to assess end user training.   Thanks for your input.

Hi Will,

WAD reports in 7.0 and 7.4 are same and have same functionalities.

Yes there are some additional features available in 7.4 which were not available in 7.0.

For example "Refresh only change (use_snippets)" . This was not available in WAD for 7.0 but it is by default available in 7.4 with WAD.

This helps to refresh only the changed data instead of refreshing the full report which can take long time incase too much data is loaded or many data providers are involved.

But yes look and feel and functionality wise 7.0 and 7.4 have same features in WAD.

Hi Amit

As per my earlier system we are using the role menu which we create for 3.x and then when we upgraded to 7,.x we add the newly built wad to that only.

so now we are looking for something user specific like a portal sort so that user can access the reports easily.

Do you have any experience creating so.
