Change unsecured dimension to secured dimension

I recently took over as admin for a BPC environment that has Category as an unsecured dimension. After issues with people posting to Actuals we want to make Category a secured dimension so we can restrict it by data access profiles. Since there would be a missing secured dimension in each access profile, will this cause an issue?

if you missed a secured dimension the profiles don't work, you have to add the dimension on all your d.a.p.

Hi Jeremy,

If you modify the model, with adding secure dimension in model then you have to change the data access profile also otherwise it will give you an error.

For you case you can add category as secure dimension. modify your data access profile give only read access so user can not save data against the actual.
