Dear All,
My Project structure is 6 levels and we are not using Networks
Project Structure:
Level 1 : Zone
Level 2 : State
Level 3 : Area
Level 4 : Product
Level 5 : Activity head
I have two questions
1) We have multiple plants. For us each Area is a plant. Can I maintain different plant for each Area level wbs in assignments tab ?
2) We are integrating with EP (Enterprise Portal). This is the first time i am working with EP
My requirement is
When a PR/PO is created from EP if the budget is exceeded the system has to throw an error.
How should i validate this ? What technical information i have to give to EP person
Thanks
Praveen
For your first question, at the Area level, you can have different WBS elements each representing different plant.
For budgeting, EP should have a BAPI to send information to SAP to create PO in SAP.
During this time, it will carry fields in the area Export parameters. Similarly it will have some import parameters to get values in return from SAP.
You can use these import parameters to send the error message from SAP to EP. Closely working with EP is very important for this.

Hi Praveen,
You can assign multiple plants for wbs elements in one project, but budget exceed error you will get aganist Controlling area leve but not plant level.

Hi Siddu,
As per my hierarchy PR/PO will be created at last level i.e 5th level
As per my understanding I thought we can validate by giving plant because at creation of PR/PO we will be giving plant so,i thought by giving plant it should validate. It is just just my assumption i don't weather it works or not.
We are maintaining one controlling area for entire project.
What logic i have to give to the EP consultant from my side. Please help me
Regards
Praveen
