How do you forward workflow on SAP Sourcing 10.0?

Hi Gurus,

I want to forward workflow to another approver if the assigned approver is not present to approve,
how do I go about doing it?

Hello Sabelo,

You can achieve this through standard delegation functionality.

You have to add the approver in to the delegation collection against proper business document class in delegation tab of actual assigned approver user account.

Even standard mails will be triggered that actual approver have delegated you for the approval.

Hi Sabelo,

One approach could be to have a scheduled task which check for the approver if there is a substituted/delegated person at the time of scheduled run, and if there is, then update the substitute/delegate in the workflow table.

This way the sourcing workflows can be forwarded.
