IW_BEP(ECC) to SAP_GWFND(Hub)

Dear Friends,

I am currently in the landscape with IW_BEP in ECC and SAP_GWFND in SAP NetWeaver Gateway Hub.

I login to ECC and observe a type 3 connection pointed towards the HUB. Also, the services are all working fine.

I find one thing very interesting, though.

SPRO in ECC does not have any mapping under the following tree:

SAP NetWeaver Gateway Service Enablement Backend OData Channel Connection Settings to SAP NetWeaver Gateway SAP NetWeaver Gateway Settings

Is it not mandatory to have a connection pointing from SAP ECC to SAP NW Gateway Hub?

Oops... nevemind people.. i figured out that the two systems are trusting each other!. my bad!!.
