Hi Experts,
I am using PI 7.4 on windows 7 (64 bit version).
I am not able to open ESR & ID. I have tried with many JRE versions(1.6 u 25, 1.6 u 33, 1.6 u 45, 1.7 u65) but nothing worked.
Hosts file is properly updated and java cache is also cleaned.
Strange part is, I can open it on other systems using my credentials but not on my laptop.
Please advice.
Regards,
Vikram

Hi Experts,
Even I am having same issue, but here I am able to open ERS of SAP PI 7.4 version but facing same kind of issue to open ID. I tried with all above options but unable to open it. This is not with my login ID only it is the case with all the login IDs exists in server. Current version of Java is 1.6 also tried with 1.7 but no luck.
Please suggest.

Hello,
Can you try to launch the ESR/ID with the method as given in note - 1911069 - Workaround for issues launching the PI tools with Java 7
Thanks,
Atul

Hi Vikram,
Only to avoid to think there are some port closed to access from your computer, have you tried to download NWDS and to make the connection to the ESR?, if you can do it this connection you can avoid to think there is a problem of connectivity.

Hi Vikram,
It is due to inconsistency between PI version and the JRE version you are using.
You need to use the 32 bit JRE version less than or equal to the version of PI.

Hi Vikram,
Changes to these setting and hopefully it will work.
In Java Configuration,
General Tab--->network setting---> Change it to "Direct Connection"

Make sure you are using 32bit JDK & JRE (1.6 update 45).
Host entry must be like this: IP Address hostname FQDN
e.g: 10.1.1.12 pidev pidev.abcdefg.com
