We have one vendor code created for 2 company codes. Vendor XYZ was created in company code A and was extended to company code B. We edited the information in the General data tab for company code A but the data in company code B was also changed. Is this Sap Standard for General Data?
Kindly advise if there's a way to have a different General Data Information for 2 company codes but using the same Vendor Code.
Thanks,
Giri babu
It is standard SAP behavior. General data are like the base for every company code or every purchase organization. It should be always one.
Suppose as vendor description, You can have only one vendor description for one vendor code. You can't use it different as per different company code.
At the time of vendor extend to company code, you may have observed that system will not prompt you general data.

Hi Giribabu,
Vendor general data is created at client level. So it will be applicable for all co.codes which are extended.
