Issue in item category in Sales order

Hi ,

We have a customer order type ZD and custom item category ZLNN. So whenever any material with item category group ZTAB is used in order type ZD, ZLNN should be determined. This is maintained in item category determination

Now the issue is whenever I am using any material with item category group ZTAB in order ZD, it is determining item category as ZLNN but it is giving error as "Item category ZLNN not found for sales document type ZD". I tried to search in Google but no proper results were found. Can you please advice as what could be the issue.

No entry in table J_1BSDICA.

Please create the respective entry.

Hi Dattatreya,

As I can see its for Brazil sales organization. Check below SAP notes for the same.

940609 - Error message 8B 518 when creating deliveries

732327 - Message 8B518 is raised when creating a sales order

Let me know if they are valid for your system specially first one though it's talking about deliveries but issue could be common.

I checked these SAP notes. These cannot be implemented in our system as the SAP version is higher

I hope you have already checked the point mentioned by Navaneetha. If you are sure with your configurations then would suggest to raise OSS note as this happened in past also (that's why we have above notes) but in different areas and it could be that you need to do anything specific for Brazilian sales organization which is either missing in configuration or issue in program.

Hi,

Have you also configured the schedule line category determination for the item category. If this is not done, then you can get error message.

Check if the item category ZLNN and the relevant MRP type has a schedule line category mapped correctly.
