Using BEx Analyzer with Excel 2007

Do I have to do anything special to do this?

I keep getting errors whenever I try to run Bex from Excel.

Hi Kenneth

You will have to add the local SAP GUI foler location to the trusted locations list of Macro Settings under Developer Tab of Excel-2007 and apply patch-23 of GUI-640 which should sort-out your issues of running Business Analyzer with Excel2007.

To bring the Developer Tab:- Get into the Excel options -> Click Show Developer Ribbon under poplar section.

I was able to add the folder in Excel, but cannot find the patch 23 that you describe.

Can you advise where it is located?

I thing you need to enable the macros in your system for your above mentioned problem

It seems that whenever I try to move fields, drill down, etc., it gives a VBA error and says Debug?

Then, the Excel sheet behaves as if it is no longer a BW Excel Sheet. For example, right-clicking on cells brings up the normal Excel context window, not the BW one.

Any ideas?

Do not see a recent posting on this, but I have a related question. We have PC's with XP, Office 2007, SAP_BW 350, SAP_GUI 640 (6405.5.30.1035). Patch 30 resolved the VB errors, but now I have a user telling me they are still limited to 65000 rows in BEx despite having Excel 2007. Is it possible the row limitation is caused by the SAP version?
