Is it possible to add additional file validation checks that will run before a file can be sent to next approver?

Yes, you can add your company specific additional checks, in addition to the standard checks for file validation.

The system performs file validation through the /PSINDS/BADI_FILESEND BAdI. This BAdI contains the /PSINDS/IF_FILESEND~ FILESEND_VERIFICATION method.

When a user tries to send a file, this BAdI takes file details as input parameters and returns a code for sending the file. You can modify the /PSINDS/IF_FILESEND~ FILESEND_VERIFICATION method to set additional customer specific verification processes during the sending of a file, for example verification of a user's digital signature before the sending of the file.
