Rule generation in GRC 10.1 SP09 not working

Hi!

I'm trying to generate rules in GRC 10.1 support pack 09. It worked once upon a time when we were on support pack 8, but I deleted the rules and tried to regenerate. So far I'm getting a whole lot of nothing. Table GRACACTRULE is empty.

I've read the master note for SP09. I put in incident in with SAP and read the notes that magically show up there as well. Nothing seems to answer the question. I've got enough access on the user running the rule generation job. My rule set matches the case in NWBC, so it's not that.

Any other suggestions while I wait for SAP to respond? I'll make sure to share what they say, too!

The answer is ... I'm an idiot!

I finally started digging into the master data and found that somehow the actions and permissions got deleted off all my functions. I wish I knew how I managed to do that, but now the rule generation job is running MUCH longer. So I think I'm back on track. Ugh! I am SO embarrassed!!!

are you trying to generate the rules via NWBC or in the backend?

I'm running the background job in the backend system. Should I try it from NWBC instead?

FYI, I also tried generating some rules from NWBC, and that didn't work either.
