Hierarchy into Flat look up table

Hi Folks,

I would like to know, whether we can change the Hierarchy table into Flat look up table  ?

Live scenario-

i don't want to delete the hierarchy table and create a new flat look up table?

since we have a hieracrchy table exist in mdm table but i want to change the same in to flat look up table.please suggest you input and help me on this.

requirement is bit urgent

Hi SriRam,

You cannot change a table/field type, that is you cannot change Hierarchy table to Flat table.

All you can do is take data of main table lookup hierarchy back up, then create a lookup flat table with required data and then create Lookup Flat and delete Lookup Hierarchy Field, that will ensure you have both Flat and Hierarchy tables, but not sure why you require to have hierarchy.
