characteristic value not changing

Experts,

we have a configurable material for that when ever i am creating a sales order , every thing working fine , we are getting screen for characteristic value assignment, but it shows a a value setup for one of the characteristic and when i try to remove it it gives error. Not sure from where its coming and how to stop it.

There can be number of reasons for this, find few of them below

• Check in classification view of materials master if any value setup there.
• Check characterstic CT04, go to value tab , and see if any value have default tick for it.
• Check in CU43 , what are the dependencies assigned there and does any of those seting up characterstic value.

Hi Rana,

What is the error you are getting.

You can check  how value is coming to the char. by clicking the button highlighted in the below screen.

You might have written a procedure to default the value.
