Curriculum- is the collection of many courses(items), to assign it & track as single entity. Curriculum's in SF LMS come with many other features like Requirements, Period (event & calendar) based, Retraining etc

E.g., Microsoft Office Product training (Curriculum) consisting of individual items of MS Office Excel, Word, Access etc.

Program- is used to deliver training's which spans over extended period, comprising of various types of learning's like online, ILT, Links, Custom texts/document.

It can be used to deliver both fixed scheduled & Self paced learnings.

E.g., 4-5 week Employee OnBoarding Program. Split the Program into individual weeks with agenda, completion criteria linked to it and various activities to be completed in each week to proceed further.

Hope this answers your question.

Thank you, Vivek.

We would actually like to change the names of these delivery methods to names that give more indications to the learner, what they can expect.

We thought about renaming "Course Program" to "Learning Path" and "Curriculum" to "Learning Sequence" - would that make sense from your perspective?

Kind regards

Hi Johanna,

If "Learning Path" and "Learning Sequence" makes sense to your Users, you can choose to change the Labels of 'Program' & 'Curriculum'. But, this might crop-in some maintenance activity and you should make sure that all the versions of 'Programs' & 'Curricula' labels in the system is changed.

Vivek
