GRC 10.1 BRF Rules

Former Member

Hi all,

We are in GRC 10.1 SP07.

In our workflow we want to add a second approver in the HR structure and we are thinking about creating a BRF rule.

But it is really necessary to create a BRF rule or is there another way of doing this?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Denise

Dear Denise,

some standard rules are pre-delivered from SAP. All others need to be created by the customer. Hence if you have a new requirement you can create your own rules (BRF+, FUBA, etc.).

Hi Alessandro,

Thank you for your help

We created a rule that goes to the HR structure and finds the approver of the user that submitted a request (a new role request, for example).

But now, for some cases, we want a secong level of approval.

Meaning that the user needs the approval of his manager and/or senior manager.

We find that this second level of approval by the HR structure is not so simple to implement, so we are here looking for some documentation that might help.

Do you have any hints regarding this challenge?

Thanks.

Best regards,

Denise

Hi Denise,

if you search on SCN you will find a thread in this regard. There's an explanation how the manager of a manager can be picked with BRF+.

Denise,

Were you able to successfully defined the required BRF+ rule to determine a manager's manager (reading up the HR structure)? I am currently attempting to do the same thing.
